I've Been Where You Are.

I know what it's like to put yourself on the line and perform under pressure.

I'm Erin Teschuk — a Canadian track and field Olympian who knows first-hand the difference mindset can make in your sport.

As a mental performance consultant, I aim to help athletes of all ages and levels optimize their training, competition, and overall mental wellbeing through developing a high performance mindset.

Services

I work with individuals who want to:

  • Build confidence and manage performance anxiety
  • Sharpen focus, resilience, and emotion regulation
  • Develop mental skills for practice and competition
  • Recover from injury or push through training plateaus
  • Rekindle motivation and passion for their sport
  • Apply performance skills beyond sport — in business, school, and life

My Approach

Evidence-Based

Grounded in current sport and performance psychology research, not guesswork or generic motivation.

Individualized

No two athletes think the same way. Your plan is built around how you perform, not a one-size-fits-all program.

Collaborative

You're the expert on your experience. I bring the tools and framework, and we build the skills together.

Research

My current research examines how athletes learn to regulate their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours towards goals in practice and competition, and how mental performance consultants can best support athletes in these areas.

My master's thesis examined socio-psychological factors relating to relative energy deficiency in sport (REDs) in female endurance athletes.

Selected Publications

The role of athlete support teams in the development and treatment of REDs in female university endurance

Common Questions

What happens in the free 30-minute consultation?

We'll talk about what's going on in your sport, what you'd like to work on, and what working together could look like. It's a conversation, not a commitment. You'll leave with a clear sense of whether this is the right fit, and there's no pressure either way.

How do sessions work?

All sessions are virtual, over video call, so we can work together from anywhere in Canada. Single sessions are booked directly through Calendly. If you choose a package, I'll email you a personal Calendly link so you can schedule each session at times that work for you.

Who do you work with?

Athletes of all ages and levels, from youth sport through to national-level competition, as well as performers outside of sport. For younger athletes, parents are welcome to join the initial consultation. The skills we build together, like confidence, focus, and handling pressure, carry well beyond sport into school, work, and life.

Is this therapy?

No. Mental performance consulting focuses on building practical skills like confidence, focus, routines, and managing competition nerves. It is not psychotherapy, counselling, or treatment for a mental health condition. If something comes up that would be better supported by a licensed mental health professional, I'll say so and help you find the right support.

What does CMPC mean?

CMPC stands for Certified Mental Performance Consultant, a certification through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) that requires graduate training in sport psychology and supervised hours of applied consulting work. As a CMPC candidate, I've completed the coursework and am completing the final supervised hours of the certification process.

Do you offer team workshops or speaking engagements?

Yes. I run group workshops for teams and speak at events, conferences, and on podcasts. Email me at [email protected] with a bit about your team or event and we'll go from there.

Let's Work Together.
